This conversion set upgrades the AFV Club M1126 Stryker ICV with a complete 3D-designed bar armour system representative of operational vehicles deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Unlike pressed brass or photo-etched alternatives, the bar armour in this set is engineered as precision resin components with correct scale thickness, structural depth and alignment built into the design. This eliminates the fragility, flatness and complex folding associated with metal options while providing a more robust and assembly-friendly solution than styrene scratch builds.

Developed specifically for AFV Club tooling (Kit No. AF35126), this is a structural conversion focused on accuracy, durability and clean integration.

Primary structural elements are produced using precision resin manufacturing to ensure consistent scale thickness and dimensional stability across the entire armour cage. The result is a rigid, accurately spaced system that significantly reduces alignment challenges compared to pressed brass or multi-part styrene assemblies.

The M1126 Infantry Carrier Vehicle (ICV) is part of the Stryker family introduced into U.S. Army service in the early 2000s. During operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, vehicles were commonly fitted with bar armour (slat armour) to improve protection against rocket-propelled grenades in urban environments.

These armour packages became a defining feature of mid-2000s operational Strykers, altering both silhouette and tactical profile.
