This detail upgrade kit from Black Ops Models is engineered specifically for the Tamiya 1/48 Leopard 2A7V, providing direct-replacement and additive 3D printed resin components to substantially improve surface fidelity and structural accuracy over the standard injection-moulded parts.

Kit Contents:

∙ 20 × Suspension covers

The four perforated turret stowage bins accurately reproduce the open-mesh construction of the bins fitted to production 2A7V vehicles. 3D printed resin allows the recessed void depth, frame geometry, and perforation pattern to be rendered with a precision that injection moulding at this scale cannot achieve.

Three corresponding bin lids are included, allowing for open or closed configurations depending on your build preference.

The replacement tool set delivers sharper definition across individual tool profiles, clamps, and retaining straps than the kit’s moulded-in equivalents — particularly beneficial under close-range photography or competition judging conditions.

Two MG3 machine guns are included alongside a single mount, providing accurate barrel diameter, cooling jacket perforations, and feed tray geometry. The mount allows for repositioning to suit your chosen vehicle configuration.

The 20 suspension covers complete the running gear, reproducing the distinctive protective covers fitted along the 2A7V’s suspension arms — a detail absent from the base kit and immediately noticeable on the finished model.
