Bring authentic Cold War firepower to your Soviet armor builds with this museum-grade ammunition and spent casing set, based on the 100mm D-10 rifled tank gun — the definitive main armament of the T-54 and T-55, and the gun that first made its name on the SU-100 tank destroyer.
This 35-piece resin set replaces soft plastic kit parts with crisp, accurate replicas for dense interior ammo racks, open-hatch scenes, or a busy crew re-arming diorama.
Kit Contents
- OF-412 HE-Frag x7 – high-explosive fragmentation shell
- BR-412 Practice/Inert x7 – solid-shot training round
- BR-412D APHE-T x7 – capped armor-piercing round
- Spent casings x14 – 100x695mm R
Developed from a Soviet naval gun and first fielded on the late-war SU-100, the D-10 went on to arm the T-54 and T-55 throughout the Cold War, letting crews punch well above their weight class.
The OF-412 HE-Frag shell was the true workhorse — tanks spent far more time fighting infantry, bunkers, and soft targets than other tanks, so this round filled the ammunition racks in high numbers, using a heavy explosive payload to shatter concrete and spray fragmentation over a wide radius.
Practice rounds like the BR-412 inert shot were used constantly for crew training and range qualification, matching the weight and ballistics of live rounds without the cost or risk.
The BR-412D APHE-T was the definitive post-war kinetic round — its armor-piercing cap prevented shattering against hardened plate, while the ballistic cap held velocity at range, with a delayed base fuze detonating an internal explosive charge after penetration. Because early T-54/55 variants had no automatic ejection system, loaders had to manually lift the heavy, scorching-hot casings off the floor and heave them out through the hatches mid-engagement.
