Jungle Foliage and Leaf Mix - 1/35

A mixed set of over 200 jungle leaves and foliage pieces for use in scale model dioramas, wargaming terrain, and display bases. Suited to dense undergrowth, tropical environments, and jungle warfare scenes including Vietnam War and modern military subjects. Each set includes a printed instruction sheet covering preparation, painting, and assembly techniques.

Leaves are produced from Mylar (biaxially oriented polyester film / BoPET), a lightweight, flexible material with the following properties:
• Tear and water resistant
• Frosted surface texture that accepts paint and primer
• Holds a bent or curved shape when manipulated by hand, allowing natural leaf poses

A plastic primer or matte coat applied before painting will improve adhesion. The frosted surface accepts both acrylic and oil paints. Acrylic washes settle into surface detail effectively; oil paints applied directly from the tube will not sink or create dead spots due to the non-absorbent surface. Dry brushing, ink washes, and weathering powders are all compatible.

Leaves can be bent, curled, or shaped prior to attachment. PVA glue is recommended for broad base elements; CA (super) glue suits smaller pieces and climbing vine details. Layering pieces from ground level upward — soil base, broad leaves, then smaller foliage — produces the most realistic result.
