These foliage sets are made from Mylar, a high-quality, bi-axially oriented polyester film (BoPET) known for its durability, tear resistance, and water resistance.

The material features a finely textured frosted surface, allowing for excellent paint adhesion and natural light diffusion.

How to Use in Your Diorama

They can be bent or curled slightly for a more natural appearance

Acrylic Paint: While Mylar is non-porous, acrylic paints can be applied directly but may benefit from a primer or a spray of clear lacquer for better adhesion.

Oil Paint: Mylar works exceptionally well with oil paints. Paint can be applied directly from the tube or thinned with a medium. The non-absorbent surface prevents sinking-in and dead spots.

Use PVA glue, super glue, or an acrylic medium to attach leaves and reeds to your scene. They can be layered for depth and realism.

Dry brush, ink wash, or use weathering powders to enhance texture and create a naturally aged look.
